- Are the transportation costs included in the price of the house?
The transportation costs are not included in the starting price. The transportation of the Woody Homes can be done by us (prices differ depending on the size of the house) or it can be arranged by the owner.
- Does the construction site need any special preparation before the Woody Home arrives?
The plot where the Woody Home will be placed has to be aligned and covered with gravel, which will extend at least 1m around the Woody Home. The plot must also be reachable by truck and plane.
- Does a Woody Home need to be built during summer months?
No, it can be placed at any time of the year, but it does need good weather and accessible road to the plot where the Woody Home will be placed. the plot needs to have accesible access for a truck and the crane to pass through.
- What kind of products should be used for the inner and outer finishes?
Roof
A pitched roof metal construction, with a 100mm insulation of mineral wool is placed above of the thermal insulation, with vapor-permeable waterproof roof foil, enclosed in metal tiles.
Floors
The floor of the Woody Homes finishes with wooden boards, in colours of your choice.
Underneath
A metal construction of sub galvanized sheets at the bottom with a 100mm insulation of mineral wool, enclosed within the floor. the Woody Home floor metal platform is placed 30cm high above the ground.
- Which type of foundation is best suited for a Woody Home?
The plot where the Woody Home will be placed has to be aligned and covered with gravel, which will extend at least 1m around the Woody Home. The plot must also be reachable by truck and plane.
- Do Woody Homes place any special demands on utilities (pipe lines, sewer, etc.)?
Hydraulic installation
Woody Homes bear full plumbing for the bathroom and kitchen according to the relevant drawing of the plan accompanying it. All faucets can provide hot and cold water. The company is not responsible for the conncetion of the hydraulic network of the home or for any hydraulic and electrical work in the surrounding outer space of the Woody Home.
Drainage
The manufacturer of the Woody Homes is not required to prepare the ground sanitation as this is the obligation of the buyer.
- Is a Woody Home completely maintenance free after completion?
Very little maintenance is required, as during the construction the initial treatment with ecological varnish and primer, both internally and externally, cover an entire lifetime and no other maintenance is required under normal conditions. However, if so wished, the exterior can be vanished once in every two years, so that your Woody Home will look like new forever. On the oher hand, the interior maintenance costs are minimal, due to the natural properties of wood (no humidity) thus saving the cost of painting and necessary materials.
- How energy efficient is a Woody Home?
Wood is a natural insulator and is very effective in isolating cold and heat. This means saving a significant amount of energy compared to stone, concrete and brick houses.
- What kind of wood do you use?
For the entire construction, both externally and internally, including walls, floor and ceiling, pine wood with a thick 13mm straight rbbed outer and inner coating, is used. The thickness of the inner pannels are 5cm, filled with mineral wool insulation. In total and 8cm thick wall, thus achieving the proper insulation for comfortable winters and summers. The entire construction is designed and assembled with the appropiate and necessary structural static research and approval.
- How much does a Woody Home cost?
Prices start at 17.900€ and increase as the size of the house or the requirements of client increase.
